Vegetarian sausage, eggs of your choice, Heinz baked beans, grilled tomato, field mushroom, hash brown, toast. Very disappointed; we were a table of 9 celebrating my father's birthday. There was a wedding on at the same time so I can only put the average service and poor food down to that, however I won't be returning as the food is extremely expensive and I therefore expected much better.
Only slight jibe is that on a set menu most dishes required a supplement but happy to pay on this occasion because it was delicious. I shall be returning. Darren Amos. Good food and service as usual, but the wine is poor. Arrival quite confusing as went to enter via outside seating area to find it was a wedding reception. Ended up having to go round to front of building with a disabled visitor , poorly ed so went into wrong entrance down 2 flights of step which was extremely difficult for disabled visitor to find we could have gone in on a level entrance, single door, no age to say it was the main entranced disabled.
Staff very unhelpful indeed. Food, they were buys but waited over 40 mins for starters, had to ask several times for wine that was ordered, chase up cutlery. They busier it got the worse the service. Staff congregating on stairs next to till, very loud, cackling laughter so couldn't get their attention to chase up missing items. No-one seemed to be in charge. At one point 2 waitresses were rowing next to the till, not good!!!! Had to chase up menus to order sweets, chase up sweets, got 2 out of 4, first 2 had finished by the time we got the other 2 which wasn't nice.
Food was average to good but expensive for steak dishes which were full of fat, wouldn't order steak again but would like to go again for a sunday lunch to give it a try. Staff issues need looking at as does the front age for disabled visitors, very poor.
My sea bass was gorgeous however my husband had the steak pie which was not cheap but had more carrot in it than steak! The children had lovely meals and puddings were fab too. Set in gorgeous country side the fleece is a lovely pub. The food, service and drinks were superb. Would definitely recommend. Booked a table for 8. Food was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. Service was good and although most of the waiting on staff were quite young they were polite and professional. All in all a lovely meal for a special occasion or just for a little indulgence.
Took greater family out for Sunday lunch. Plenty of choice on the menu. Every aspect was of high standard. I do like the old building too. Back to the usual high standard. Excellent food on the Market Fresh menu, and exceptional value for money for a three course meal. Nice relaxed service, would definitely go again. We had a lovely Sunday dinner here. Lovely afternoon. A delicious Sunday roast menu which is good value and has an excellent selection. Great food and friendly staff.. Great food in a lovely environment. Service was very good also. It was our first time here and we will definitely be visiting again!
Great location, fabulous service and excellent value. We enjoyed an early dinner booked for 7pm. The food was exceptionally good and plentiful and as the restaurant was very quiet service was outstanding. Very much look forward to our next visit. Great value for money - Sunday lunch is always amazing - great location and lovely atmosphere. Bank hol lunch with family. Husband and 4 year old son. A great place to go with all the family but still have a "grown up" meal.
Excellent service. Very friendly and attentive. Food delicious and quick service. The price was very reasonable. An overall great experience. Look forward to returning. Been here many times before and this is the first bad meal I've had, barely warm starter cremated main course New Year's Day not a great time to visit but that's no excuse service standards should be the same whenever you visit will give it a miss for a while.
Very attentive staff who tried very hard to please although they delivered the odd order late and missed a few drinks from table orders. However they tried so hard that it was easy to forgive. We all enjoyed it and will come again. My husband and I both had the fillet steak and thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Wonderful dining and will definitely return and would definitely recommend to family and friends for any occasion. Lovely helpful staff, great food and setting, wonderful outside space for good weather.
We enjoyed a pre Xmas lunch with friends. The seating was a little cramped it we didn't conplain. The starters were excellent. Three of us had a traditional turkey lunch, it was ok but lacked any wow factor. Another excellent night at the Fleece. The food was amazing, the staff great and the ambiance excellent. Cannot fault it.
Consistently great food and service. Love our local. We enjoyed our birthday Sunday lunch at The Fleece Inn - excellent service, lovely food, attractive restaurant in a beautiful location. Excellent meal after a stressful day of moving house thanks. Lovely ambiance. Roast beef a bit tough and veg practically raw.
Friendly staff. Booked a table although not ready when arrived despite restaurant being quiet. Had to squash on smaller table as kids were ready to eat. Excellent service and food. Really enjoyed and will definitely return. A charming country Inn with a great history. Stunning views across the valley.
Service excellent- staff helpful and courteous. Good food. Lovely Sunday dinner for 2. Food was lovely and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Will be returning very soon. Arrived on time for a family meal. Shown to our table and waited 40 minutes for a drink and our order to be taken. Requested a move from what seemed like a creche to a quieter part of the place. When we got our meal it had cold plates and well underdone vegatables.
Been in Summer on the terrace and would only recommend that experience to anyone. Great Sunday lunch! Love it here and recommend early booking for a great view whilst you eat! Meet family for sunday lunch, everyones food was lovely. Staff were friendly. Good service. Definitely recommend. We were seen to our table and served by Tina, a very bubbly and welcoming member of your staff.
Although new to the Fleece team she was very competent in taking our drinks and food order , she gave advice and recommendations when asked for with honesty and confidence. All of her recommendations were spot on and the food was excellent. The meals came in a timely manner and were presented very professionally. Fortunately we were not subjected to the scenario of being asked "Is everything alright? So often done with insincerity at other restaurants, and very annoying We were asked at an opportune point however and once confirmed we were left to eat in peace.
Having said that , I am certain we would have been responded too very quickly if we had had any issues or requests. At the end of our visit Tina asked us what we had planned for the rest of the day and was genuinely interested in our reply. To sum up, an excellent dining experience handled by a very valuable member of your staff!!Jamesons pub girls West yorkshire
